She completed her M.Sc. in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Neurochemistry from University of Bremen, Germany followed by a Postdoc in Neurobiology from IISER Pune. She brings diverse experience including AI/ML-based drug discovery and development solutions, Lifesciences infrastructure and cluster building, business development and strategy. Her past affiliations include Rx Propellant, Excelra and Aragen (erstwhile GVK Bio) and Max Plank Institute for Marine Microbiology.
Vishal is the co-founder of JV Ventures with over two decades experience in the Lifesciences industry spanning across management consulting, advisory to state government for setting up the Genome Valley cluster and infrastructure development. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and Harvard University Graduate School of Design. A strong proponent of strengthening the Indian ecosystem by fostering collaborations, he is a visionary with a rich network and brings a unique perspective on the Indian Lifesciences industry. His past affiliations include EY, Alexandria Real Estate India and Red Fort Capital.

He has developed solutions like drug repurposing platforms genomics tools, AI/ML-based prediction models, and biomarker discovery. During his decade-long stint at GSK and Excelra, he held key roles that advanced pharmaceutical research. He brings in expertise in all aspects of drug discovery and development, including clinical sciences, pre-clinical, and computational biology. He holds a Ph.D. in Neuropharmacology from the Medical College of Georgia and completed postdoctoral research in Bioinformatics and Behavioural pharmacology.

He held the senior leadership position as the Head of Vaccine and research at Cadila Pharmaceuticals.
